Mine was just a simple fuel bump fuse change located inside the engine fuse box.

Yep, fuse 27. I replaced it, but, wondered if there is a permanent fix to prevent it from happening again.

Hey guys the problem is the fuse is getting too hot the ford fix is to install a box fuse instead of the blade fuse they have a kit with instructions at the dealer I think it is about 20-30 bucks.

Master Tech told me that it is a common issue, especially with the 2010s.

So my research has concluded that this is not a familiar that is new to F150s, but I have had issues finding it on the 2009 or 2010 models. If there are threads and I missed them, I apologize in advance.

But, like the title says, my 2010 F150 5.4, with 52000~ miles, has had this issue very rarely over the last few months, but this morning, when I tried to start it, I could not get it to start at all. It'll just crank, even with my hand off of the key, until I turn my truck off. Longest I have let it crank is maybe 3-4 seconds before turning it off.

First off, I knew my battery went bad after it drained awhile ago (sometime last year) but wanted to run it until it would no longer work. I thought that could have been the culprit the last time this issue came up, so I replaced it a month ago with a brand new one, and I thought I fixed the problem.

Anyone else have or have had this issue? If so, what was the outcome? I am worried this could be an expensive fix but am hoping it is not. Thanks in advance for any comments!
Had the same thing happen on my 2010 but mine turned on to be the fuse apparently that's common for the fuse to blow on that year model but the reason the engine keeps trying to start is because 08 and newer F150's have computer assisted start so once you hit the key one time it'll keep turning over until the engine starts or until you turn it off.

Yeah I have a 2009 ford f150 platinum maybe the 20 amp fuse wasnt enough that's why it keeps burning out I dunno but I put a 30 amp in the fuel pump no. 27 I believe and working fine for a month now we'll see but it started right up like how it's supposed to even after trying a new 20 amp

Why limit yourselft to a 30amp fuse? Shoot fire! Throw a penny in there and burn that sucker to the ground!
