Default 2010 F-150 Heat only seats troubleshooting

I am having trouble troubleshooting my drivers heated seat, I found this post regarding how to determine if its the element or the network and modules https://www.f150forum.com/f38/heated...gnosis-243120/

My problem is that even with the heated seat button off I have 14v at the red wire on the drivers side, the voltage is always there. I tested the passengers side and it has 0v on the red wire but when the seat is turned on it has 14v. I am trying to determine if maybe that write up is for the 2011+ heated seats and maybe controlled differently. Another question is if anyone knows the resistance of a good seat cushion element, I am wondering if i can put a resistor in place of the element and trick the module into thinking the element is there and determine if its the module or element 100%.

Also has anyone found and installed a aftermarket element? I have read alot of people replace the element and it burns out after awhile leaving it be replaced all over again?

Thank you
