28 spline was used for early Mustangs, Rangers, Crown Victorias and maybe a few other things.
I see they also have a 33 spline and 34 spline.
The 2015 and up F150 has a new Super 8.8 which has 34 spline. New housing, gears, and pretty much everything, but it still is 8.8 diameter ring gear to make things confusing.
Mustangs have a Super 8.8 also, but it's independent rear suspension..IRS. I think it takes 34 spline also, but I'm not sure.
I really don't know what the 33 spline would fit.
