So I’m driving down a back country road or down the highway and I start to hear what sounds like a rattle can full of marbles spinning at high speed. I then give it a little more gas, or slow down and the noise stops.

It it happens every day. I had my buddy hook up his Snap On scanner while it ran and had no fault codes.

Anyone ran ran into this issue and can you help a guy out?

 

Next time it does it. Switch to 4x4. Assuming it does it long enough for you to do it. If the noise stops, it is something to do with the IWE. Could be the solenoid, drop in vacuum, a slow leak in a vacuum line or the one way valve.

Solenoid is the cheapest probably the most likely cause if the sound goes away. That is what I just did on mine but, after 2 weeks mine is doing it again. Not as loud or as long. Thinking I am going to have to wait until it does it constantly to find the next thing to try.
