I have a SCT Tune from 5Star, Mike does a great job tuning these trucks. I have had the Hypertech, Edge and now the SCT. The Hypertech I returned after a week, just wasn't doing it for me. The Edge I had on my '05 F150 5.4L and loved it, I have been thinking of trying one out on my 2010 FX4 now.
I have been very pleased with the results from 5Star. The difference between the Hypertech and the SCT X3on these 5.4L's are night and day.
Mike at 5Star can hook your truck up with a tune that will better integrate your AFE CAI and also later on down the road if you add anything else. I think he is running a end of year special right now in the Vendor forum on here.

I have the edge cts in my 2010, I had the older model edge in my 04. The cts is awesome, definitely feel the power gain with the performance tune. The economy tune does a good job with the shift points and firmness, no more lag or delay when downshifting.
Reprogramming the truck is a little bit more time consuming than the older model, but who cares.
With the performance tune I get 21 hwy mpg at 70, but that's reading off the cts itself or of the truck, I haven't had a chance to do the math myself. Prior to the tuner i was getting 18.6 hwy constantly.
I am also running a S&B cai with a ram air scoop, and a Flowmaster 50 series muffler. However, you can probably achieve better results with a custom tune.

My next big step is a tuner. Really leaning towards the SCT X3 for the price and from what I've heard on here. I really like the Edge CTS, but wifey doesn't want the big display on the truck and she drives it most, plus its about twice as much.

Gains wont be as big as they are on the diesel world but it does make a difference on gassers as well. For the 2010 5.4, be looking at 21-24 horses to the wheels and 44-48 torque with a SCT tuner. Biggest difference you see besides the increased power is remapped transmission tuning and throttle lag being 95% gone which is what most people like daily driving.

My truck has no performance mods other than the tunes. I got my SCT 3015 from Franchi. It has really improved drivability over stock and its much more fun now. Love the quick throttle response instead of the huge lag. There is a decent increase in power when using 93 octane and the higher performance tune. I also like being able to adjust things myself, like shifts and tire sizes. No need to pay someone for another tune when I make changes.
