So i have a 2010 with the 5.4 3v in it and it has been making some weird sounds and it has a Blue wrench in the dash. Im not sure what the Blue wrench is for or what it means. Also it doesn't have a muffler on right now as it is broken and I am going to replace it.
its really loud and sounds like it is backfiring maybe? Im not sure

When you take it up to get a muffler replaced stop by Autozone and ask them to retreive codes for you and come back and post those codes so someone can help you. Wrench light may be indicating transmission problems.

 

No muffler. So o2 sensors aren't reading.
sounds like timing as well
