2010 5.4 Engine - low power
Have a 2010 Lariat with the 5.4 and 44,000 on the odometer. Bought last fall with 36,000 on the clock.
Darn thing bogs down when you hit the gas, esp from a low load condition. Sometimes she idles a bit weird too. No light or codes though. Mileage is poor, but the power issue is the thing. Tail pipe has a lot of soot. Uses no oil (thank goodness) and no cam phaser issues or signs.
My thinking is coil packs. Have some ordered. Could be plugs too?
