Default 2010 4x4 diagnosis

Hey guys I have a 2010 F150 that I keep getting the check 4x4 message popping up. I’m pretty mechanically inclined but this this thing has me stumped. I have just replaced the passenger IWE and regreased the drivers side. With the truck running I check that I had vacuum at the solenoid which I did. The I jacked the front of the truck up and spun the wheels and the axles stay independent like they are suppose to. I then disconnected the vacuum from the IWE on both sides and the axles locked in so I know they are fine. I then turned the 4HI switch on and the solenoid never lost vacuum so the IWE was staying disengaged and I literally just replaced the solenoid today. I checked the fuses and no burnt out fuses. I have no clue why the solenoid wouldn’t lose vacuum. Could it be something like the solenoid check valve or the control module?

Are you in fact seeing a change of command at the solenoid connector? I believe the TCCM tells the solenoid when to open/close (ground will be present in 2wd with solenoid open, not present in 4wd with solenoid closed). I would check that which may lead you to check the TCCM.

I've been having the same issue on my 2011. I replaced the entire vacuum line, solenoid, and now both front hubs and IWE actuators (I guess that's what the vacuum controlled things are called). Still getting the yellow wrench and service 4x4 message. It also jumps to 4Lo when switching it from 4Hi to 2Hi. I ordered the 2011 Raptor TCCM last week (Tasca) along with the Raptor switch to run the ELD in 2Hi. I've read the TCCM is a very likely cause for our issues. As soon as the Raptor TCCM gets here and I install it, I will let you know if mine is fixed. I thought it was fixed today after I finished the IWE and hub replacement but it was a false fix. It was fine for the first hour or so. Then I went to the store and switched to 4Hi when I left just to see and bam, wrench and service message. No, I was not running around on dry pavement in 4x4. I was slow rolling in the parking lot in a straight line just to see.

I will. I'm not sure if it is back ordered or what. Tasca replied saying your part is a special order and it will ship soon. It is still showing in process so who knows when it will ship.

"Thank you for shopping with us! One or more items from your recent order (Order 112xxxx) has required special ordering, but should be ready to ship to you soon.

Your complete order will be shipped as soon as the special ordered items arrive at our warehouse (in about three to five business days)."

I ordered it on 03/30/19. Show still in process as of toady.

Still says order processing. I will give them until Thursday then I will call and see if I can get an ETA. Might not be a bad idea if it is going to take two weeks to get yours to go ahead and order it.
