Default 2010 2WD Spindle lift

Whats up guys.

Been searching on the forum to find some more info but haven't had any luck. Looking at possibly going with a spindle lift on my 2010 F-150 Lariat super crew 2wd. Was going to go with a leveling kit but want a bit more height and know the most you can go with is 2.5". I've done a spacer lift before on my old explorer but not a spindle lift. I do have a buddy with all the tools needed and a shop in his backyard and experience with suspensions and sand rails and ****.

My question is if anyone has done this on their 2WD? and if so can I keep the factory UCA and all the other front end components with just a 3.5"-4" spindle in front and most likely a small block in the back or will i need to switch out more parts?

Seems pretty straightforward, spindle should keep an alright angle for everything, comes with better brake lines and believe I can use the stock 18" wheels. If anyone has experience I'd greatly appreciate it. Trying to plan ahead and all the info I can get the better.

Thanks

I added a 4" rc lift to my 2wd and I'm using the stock uca with no issues, however this kit comes with other components (sway bar drop bracket, cross member bracket and brake line brackets) so things don't get in a bind during suspension travel. I don't see how adding just a larger spindle will be different from a larger strut spacer. I think you will still have some binding/contact issues going that route. With that said I'm fairly new to lift kits so I may be totally wrong.

Maxtrac 4.5" spindle and 2" block and longer rear shocks should give you what you're looking for.

Sweet. Want to keep it simple like that.

I bought my truck with what I thought was a smaller lift but when I went to go look at it. It came with a 6 inch. UCA and LCA are stock.

Spindle lifts just move the hub downward which raises the front. Angles don't change. Think of how portal axles 'lift'.

There is a company that makes spindle lifts but their kit also pushes the front wheels 2" farther out, Would look retarded with the front wheels tracking wider than the rear. This same company is loud and proud on the Cali squat where the truck looks like a dog with worms dragging it's rear on the ground, if that's the look you want here's a link. http://www.bajakits.com/product/09-2...-lift-spindle/

I put a normal 4" RC lift kit on my 2wd. It also levels the truck, you get 4" lift up front, 2" in the back.
