Default 2009 Parking Sensor

I took my 09 F150 FX4 into the dealer today to get the parking sensors checked out. They said that out of the 4 sensors 3 of them are bad. In order to get them fixed I was looking at $500. Does that sounds right. I looked at fords website and the sensors dont look that expensive.

Go to a scrapyard and snag some off a good bumper, they're the same from 2004-present anyway. Otherwise check ebay. They must be pretty easy to install

How do you mean don't "look that expensive?" LOL!! Haha! Check Tasca parts.com. They have good prices usually. Typically parking sensors average around $100 a sensor. So for 3 sensors being around $300...then there's the labor to put them in. And dealers sometimes charge $99 per hour of labor. I know the mechanics at my dealer do. The body shop(where I work) is the waaay lower $38 per hour. I'm not 100% positive because I don't know what the average is in your area.

For reference...I just ordered a set of 4 sensors for my sisters 2003 Pontiac Montana.(she only had 1 bad one) They only come as a set of 4. And it was $400 just in the parts.

Thanks guys, I do like the first route, but I didnt know those stupid little things were so pricey!! Found some on Ebay for $45 each, which $150 is better than $500. Going to call around a few salvage yeards tomorrow see if they have anything.

Dealer wise, yeah defnately pricey. You wouldn't believe some of the prices for things. I definately got into the wrong side of the auto industry. Should've went into parts!!! Hahaha!

fordforlife...Check out autoanything.com. They sell the whole kit for about $200.00. Echomaster is the brand, and they are Fords suppler. Check out there web site echomaster.com. I put a set on my truck both front and back...easy to install. You can buy the kit and just change the sensors if you want.

http://accessories.ford.com/park-***...4-modules.html

This is a Ford parts web site that sells the kit for $249.00
