2009 door a jar
Hello,
2009 f150 platinum dashboard indicator says left rear door a jar. Door is closed. Auto running board will not retract and cargo light stays on. Running board retracts when driving and comes out when stopped. I can turn off running boards without issue. Any suggestions? Besides $300 diagnoses at the ford store.

SuperCab or SuperCrew? Try spraying the door latch mechanism with some penetrant lubricant. On my 2012 Scab my passenger side rear door was doing the same thing. I thought it was wiring issue. I checked the wires and no issues. I then sprayed the lower latch with penetrant and haven't had the issue since.
If SuperCrew, check your Door Jamb Switch, could be corroded or stuck. If it doesn't retract and trigger the switch the truck thinks your door is open. If your door is open, step won't retract.
