Default 2009 ABS Pump

My 09 ABS pump is bad. Pedal goes to the floor, pulsates during braking and most importantly inserting a wire in the two ports below the lines moves almost an inch. No codes or warning lights. Is there a way to test the pump off the truck? I'm going to try and find one used or do I have to install, then test? Also do I have to find a 09 or can any 09-14 work?

Another thing if I change the pump/control module it has to be reprogrammed, since I have no codes can I take the control module off the bad pump and install it on the new pump eliminating reprogramming?

Thx

I had same issue but had lights on dash but no issue with brake pedal. I had ebrake light traction control and abs light come on. Since nothing was greatly affected at time rode it out for long as I could, I know you can't. But I found both module and pump were bad and had both replaced. About $2000 later everything was good. There are places than can fix and reprogram your module if it's just that bit sounds like more.
