At some point Ford decided to change part numbers for the rotors and pads from 2009 to 2010. The 2010 has significantly better stopping power it seems like compared to my new 2009...I know went backwards, but didn't know what the reason was, is there a swap that can be done? what changes were made?

 

IIRC in 2010 the brakes were upgraded to larger size. I would think you could upgrade the caliper, rotors, and pads.
