20 inches of snow and I can go everywhere
I am impressed with my 2009 FX4 with the stock Goodyear SRAs 18 inch tires. We got dumped on by mother nature today and I took the FX4 out to see if I could get to use my elocker. Although I am happy to report that this truck handled unplowed roads with aplomb, mostly in 2WD, I never did get to try out the elocker. Went through some spots where the snow plows had piled up some snow with 4WD engaged and didn't have a problem. All you have to do is keep moving, which is not hard to do with the 5.4. I didn't have any issues with stopping, either. The truck is fun to drive in this stuff.
This is the second major snow storm we've had this winter and my truck handled both of them well. I have a lot of confidence in this vehicle. I don't understand what all the complaints are about our trucks unable to handle snow. My truck is saying bring it on.

I live in Cinnaminson NJ, across the river from Philly. We got about 20" of snow too. First snow my new F150 saw. Took the truck out and couldn't believe how well it did. As long as I took my time the truck did excellent!! I'm extremely happy with my new F150!!!

Kutztown is only about maybe 30 or 40 miles north of where I live, yet I heard you guys only got about 6 or 7 inches of snow out of this storm. Don't worry, there's been plenty of winters where you guys get all the snow and we get ice or nothing. Gotta say, driving this FX4 in all this snow is a blast.

Hah, we got 30+ down here near DC. I'm extremely happy with the way the truck handles in the snow. Except for the OEM tires on the Platinum, which don't have the greatest tread ever. I did slip once when I was rounding a corner (probably a little too fast) that had some ice on it. Those tires will probably be getting replaced by something beefier here in the near term.

I am just down the road from you in West Chester and I was also out in the 20 inches of snow we got. Not a problem what so ever driving. Pushed through the snow like it was drive pavement. Of course when I got home, the plow truck had passed by and left a huge ridge at the end of my driveway. I went to go through it and wouldn't you know it, I got stuck! All the snow got under the truck and I guess lifted it just enough to break traction. My son and neighbor helped me out with little effort and I then went and got a good head of steam and blasted through it anyway. This 2010 F-150 SCrew Lariat is awesome. A really well made truck.
