Default 2" leveling kit tips

I'm getting ready to install a 2" auto spring kit on my 2013. The AS directions just say to disconnect the battery to disable the electric power steering but Rough Country's directions say to unplug it at the control box. Which has worked best for everyone? Any other tips? I put one on my brother's 04, I'm assuming it's similar?

Disconnecting the battery is easier but either way works.
One difference you may find is the strut with a spacer on it will probably be harder to get back into place on the 09+. Some leveling kit instructions recommend using a bottle jack between the LCA and the frame to get the strut back into place.

Just got done with the HBS level about two hours ago. I used a large prybar. Stuck it in the slot on the LCA where the strut goes and pulled up on the strut then whacked it over in place using a plastic mallot. Another thing I done was loosen the sway bar to let the LCA drop a little easier. I touched all of the nuts with a little PB Blaster before starting too. Wash them down with brake clean before putting the loctite on though. Be careful and don't stretch your lines too much.

It will, it's not rocket science. It'll go OK.

One other thing, I don't know what kind of tools you have, but if you don't have a good impact, the strut bolt on the LCA is tight. The torque specs are over 300foot pounds. My impact is kinda week, so I used a breaker bar and about a 3 foot cheater to make quick work of it. After getting it broke loose, I used the impact to spin it the rest of the way.

Good luck.
