I thought the Nav was BS but I changed to the 305/55/20 on stock wheels now the nav is off it worked great before maybe something to do with tire sensors I can't believe tires have anything to do with the Factory Nav but something happened to mine not sure what

First, I tried 610 revs per mile and the navigation thinks that I am travelling faster than I actually am (it places the icon further ahead on the map than I actually am). The error is enough that if you turn after moving along a straight road for over 4-5 miles the nav will be lost.

No problem, I changed it to 615 revs per mile. The navigation system then thinks I am travelling slower than I actually am and the icon falls behind on the map!! The amount of error is slightly less than the 610 revs per mile setting.

WTF Ford? First off, why does the stupid dead reckoning override the freaking GPS signal to begin with? It should only augment when there is a loss of signal. And furthermore why is the thing so damn sensitive? I mean a tire will actually wear around a half inch or better over the course of it's lifetime and my testing has shown that that will screw your position up on the navigation.

I HAVE TO believe that once Ford gets a handle on how ridiculous this is they will issue a program update to drastically reduce the effects of the ridiculous dead reckoning. THEY BETTER, the engineer that designed this system needs to be gut punched.

I would have to think if you would have Ford update the tire size which my dealer said he would do for $50, everything would be fine. Look how many different tire sizes come on these trucks, from Raptors to my FX4 20" rims. When the stealership adjusts the size, it must access more than just the tire size of the program. I am just commenting, I have no personal experience yet, still dragging out buying new tires.
On another note, I believe you guys that say it is screwing up the Nav but why the heck is the Nav using the speedo? It should be using the GPS unless there is a loss of signal. That is F'ed up!
