At what point is it cheaper to change rim size my 2011 came with 18 I will be going to a larger tire. So here is the question I will have the truck for many years two kids in college at what point is it cheaper to have a 17 or 20 inch rim and tire they seem much cheaper. How many sets of higher priced 18 equals a different rim if that makes any sense

Whats the difference in cost per tire change? if you get 50k miles from one set of tires you will only have bought 2 additional sets of tires, if you use the first set until they are worn.
You will then have around 150k miles on the odometer. how long are you keeping the truck? Even if you put 200k on it, you will have bought 3 sets of tire.

Remnard your right after posting and thinking I should have read my own question. I'm putting on a 2.5 lk and rear blocks and seeing rim and tire cost scared the sense right out of me
