Is he spending your money? We all know he won't get what he paid for his Lariat... Shocker! but for whatever reason he didn't get what he wanted, now he can get it. So if he can afford it... He should just do it (but it's not my money either!)

I agree with you, but I was dumb and didn't want to wait. I found every option I wanted, but in the Lariat so I jumped at it. I'm kicking myself for not getting the KR. Don't get me wrong. I love my truck, but that KR leather is calling my name once again.

Thanks for all the input. I really appreciate it!

OP didn't ask should he/she get it or not. OP asked "good idea or bad idea?", and I answered. It is not my money, and I never claimed it to be.

I have a KR for two years and already growing tired of it. My next sites are for a Raptor, hopefully that won't wear off.
I think if you trade now you are going to loose big for something that eventually will wear off again. I say wait a couple more years so the depreciation won't kill you. I only have $7k left on mine so in a better position and will have it paid off before I trade for that Raptor.

Go down to your dealer and discuss numbers. Let's say there's $4k difference. All you have to do is decide if King Ranch seats are worth $4,000 to you. If they are, buy it and enjoy. If they're not, then jump back in your Lariat and enjoy. Either way you have an awesome '13 F150 to drive off in.

0.9% is for suckers!
Get what you want.
I bought a new vehicle and after 19 DAYS decided I didn't want it, so I traded it in. I've had some 6 mos and some less than a year. Its only money, you can always make more.
Long as you're ok with it, rock and roll!
** This is the first of the month though, I would lead em on until the last 3-4 days of July, you will for sure get a better deal, unless there are crazy "4th of July" specials, but Im sure EOM will prove to be better when dealing.

If it's not just a 'vehicle' to you, then I agree on buying what you really want.
Just sold my 2 month old FX4 5.0 for a new FX4 EB and took a ~1k hit (cost of 3M stone shield, tinting, and labor to install the mud flaps and hard tonneau cover). I would suggest you sell privately though, that was the only way I could break even. It saved me 6k.
