12.3 @ 112.2MPH! Supercrew 5.0!

I did hit the rev limiter just one time and that was my second fastest run! did a 12.4 @ 111mph. I'm thinking of having the 1-2 set 100 rpm higher. Even though I've maxed the blower out it still loves to rev. I believe 11s are possible with raising the shifts 100rpm, better track conditions, stock wheels, and smaller tires. OH, the only weight reduction was removing the subs. These runs were with the spare and tailgate on!
Point I'making is there are plenty of 500-600hp old style 5.0 living happily by keeping shift points down lower too.
Not sure how the rev limiter is in the new motors - but I would find out. Rev limiter may be like ford has done in past and drop fuel to every other cylinder. That's a fairly safe way to do it on boosted motors. But they may cut spark, which can be bad if the tune isn't just right.
I would experiment with a bit lower shift point and brake boost it off the line.
Them again, I don't have the stones to mod my truck as much as you. :-)
Great job and keep up the updates!

That is awesome, man! 12.3 is flying especially for a 4x4 Screw! You have one hell of a truck, and I bet you will be surprising a lot of Vettes and Mustangs. It sounds great too with the ARH headers. Enjoy that bad boy!

Awesome truck! Ive been trying to find a few people that are running supercharged 5.0s. Im debating on buying a new one & doing the Roush kit, but havent talked to anyone who had one. On your setup what is your cruising mpg at about 70mph if you can keep your foot out of it. LOL. Would love to run this setup (or one similar), but with the amount of driving I do (avg 40k/ yr), I still need decent fuel efficiency...

The work involved in putting in the oil pump gears it would only be an extra few minutes really to change the cams. Because I've maxed out the blower if I changed the cams I'd change the blower to the 2300 unit from the mustang. Between the cams and blower I'd be putting down about another 100rwhp according to Shaun. That would put my truck at between 750 and 800 crank HP. If I was putting that much power down I'd want to change the pistons and rods so I wouldn't window the block. So basically what I'm saying is if I'm going to go into the engine for anything, I'm going to yank the engine and build it to handle at least 1000hp while I'm in there.
I'm satisfied with my truck... for now
There's more power in the tune also. He has it set for 23* timing and let the knock sensors add timing to 24* which they do. In the mustangs he runs 25-26* but we decided to be conservative. Fueling is also conservative. The tune he built is a safe one, yet still hauls
Like I said earlier, the truck has 11s in it with proper conditions and a few minor changes. So if someone wants to topple my spot as the fastest supercrew, they better pull 11s or I'll be back with an 11 slip to regain it
The power is additive!

Nice. Good run .
I have a buddy who is thinking about getting a SC for his 5.0 when it comes out of warranty here soon. How much does that whole setup cost with labor too?
