Does the Raptor 3rd brake light come in a smoke version from the OEM?

It's better to have it covered back up and fuses protected so as not to get kicked around.
Just sayin
Nothing is going to kick them around. The fuse cover itself isn't able to be used after that no, but you still have the finish trim panel that you put back on that covers that whole area up covering it all up.

I've used fuse taps on this fuse block on my 11 truck and now my 13 and didn't have the fuse box cover back on either of them. It's not a place that is exposed or gets near water and no one is going to kick that far into that area. I never had an issue in either truck.

Yea there's no way that cover will go back on. Like the above post said it won't get kicked around with the outer cover in place. I actually did try notching it out a bit because I was hell bent on putting that cover back on. Just wasn't happening.

I don't believe so. Not that I've seen anyways. Tinting it with VHT would be a good option.

So, today my Raptor 3rd brake light was installed on my '14 Platinum 2wd.

Biggest problem was getting those two headliner clips to come off as they are long.

Simple plug and play after that "BUT" the Raptor leds come on only when the brake is applied not on with parking or headlights on. Will have to run the 4th wire for the running lights to turn on as mentioned above in this thread.

So with the 4th wire installed the three red leds are on with the parking and headlights on but when applying the brakes they turn on brighter?
Is that what happens running the 4th wire?
Thanks

Yes, you got it. They will be on with parking lights and get brighter when you apply the brake. If you are having a hard time with the push pins there is a trick to it. Reach through your back window from the bed. Side you hand between the head liner and roof. Put the push pin between two of your fingers and just push down on the headliner. They will pop right out.

the Raptor tail lights has 3 red LEDs for the brakes. plus they're also running lights. they still glow red when the brakes are not applied which adds a nice touch at night. the red LEDs glow brighter when the brakes are applied.
