Default 02 sensor

Morn guys. got the p0131 code..sensor 1 bank 1.
Bought a new sensor from Ford but it seems to be a real pain to get to the connector. It appears to go to the top of the tranny? Any tips on getting to it to unplug?
I'd like to thank the local Ford dealer for selling it at the bargain price of 229.00

Yeah they are a bit hard to get to with those front O2's.

Also, hate to burst your bubble, but you got incredibly ripped off at the dealer. Bosch O2's work great and are $69.99 at AutoZone. These are the direct replacement, Wideband O2's that our trucks have.

Yeah..i knew what i was getting into with the cost..No autozone around me. I checked Napa..Ford and Territorial..all between 196.00 and 229,00.
Rockauto has them cheap but then i wait to get them..I'll attempt the sucker at work and see.

I just replaced the O2 sensor on my buddy's Ecoscrew. Took about 10 minutes total. Most of that time was spent trying to get to the connector to unplug the old one. I ordered a new Bosch sensor from Rock Auto for under $50 USD for him. Waiting a few extra days to replace it wasn't going to ruin the truck and was definitely worth the $350 savings over what the local dealer quoted him for parts and labor to replace it.
