Where does the phone remote start module get plugged in ?

It plugs into one of the ports on the perimeter sensor module.

If depends where it was installed. It's not a factory installed module.

You probably have a perimeter alarm, most of the models above the XL's do. The perimeter alarm module that they're talking about adds a shock sensor and also gives a way to access the trucks network for the remote access module.

The VSS module is not a factory option, it is a dealer add on item only.
Some dealers may install them before the trucks are sold, but most do not.

Only real way to tell is if you a T-harness on your ODB connector, or set the alarm wait 20 seconds and go bounce on the rear tailgate. If your alarm goes off, you have it..... If it doesn't then you will need the VSS
