just got mine installed (will be sending you back the refurbed by end of the week).
Ran into some issues, mainly being the damn carpet. I don't know why but I always struggle cutting that stuff, make a mess of the padding. The other issue was the top bracket that snaps into rear wall.
Not sure why but they didn't want to line up with the holes. The right one was touching the seat lock mechanism, had to pull with full strength to get it to clear finally. With that popped in left was a good .5 inch off to the right. Fought that for a while, before having to loosen up the 4 screws on sub itself to get enough play. Then the damn thing wouldn't lock and kept popping out. Few bloody knuckles later its in.
Weird part, I haven't been able to hook up ForScan stuff yet. Have to wait till the weekend...but the sub is working. Never changed any audio stuff before. Also don't have a factory sub. 2016 XLT Sport. It doesn't sound like it's "full power" so curious to see if the forscan change makes it a bit louder.
Unfortunately, if this turns out to be the best it will sound, I'll be a bit displeased. It's loads quieter than the 09-14 kicker soundstage I had. Wasn't looking for that this time...and it does fill the low end a bit. But subwoofers shouldn't just round out the lows. They should be able to hit!
Best way I can describe it...max bass to me sounds like where it should be at 1/4-1/2 bass setting. Decent sound quality like I said. But not the sound I was expecting at Max.
Will try and update after I change ForScan and see if that "activates" any more power

Just an update. Made forscan changes and noticed big difference in bass. I figured I would, but having sub working without any changes through me for a loop at first.
i still have it max bass but it's got a better punch. Mid setting is about what it sounded like when I just plugged it in with no changes.
