Iam really liking your overland setup and suspension upgrades, Stingray. Currently in the thinking and planning stage of converting my 2013 FX4 for overland use. Was looking at either a FWC Hawk $$$ or bed racks http://www.leitnerdesigns.com/active...ed-racks-s/100 and a Rtt. http://www.jamesbaroudusa.com
What Snug Top model do you have and what is its load capacity? Also would you provide additional information about the manufacturer/dealer of the overland bed setup? Thanks, and you've provided some good, useful, ideas to consider.

I'm in Pleasant Hill. All the "good places" have been closed and fenced off for years now. A real shame, because back in the 70s and 80s there were LOTS of places to play. But thanks to the current level of litigiousness in our society, they're gone forever.
The closest places to play is in Stanislaus N.F. outside of Arnold and above the foothills outside of Grass Valley. My pic was taken in Utah. Death Valley is a blast. Colorado, while scenic and challenging, is more for the "excursion" type trip. We did 5 passes in 2 days last September.

I have a buddy that takes his Jeep to Stanislaus all the time, and I think I'm gonna head up there with him and see if I can do some of the trails that he can do. I'm also trying to plan a week long trip to the Oregon back country discovery route in the fall. I might be asking you for some tips in the future if that is ok.

Stingray, you are a man after my own heart! I have almost the same exactly set up. add-a-leaf in the rear, icon coilover level up front and cap on the back, my tires are only 33's, I did have 34.6's and they were too big with my -12 offset. I also have a 2000w outlet setup for a space heater and tools in my back and a bench I use for my dogs instead of cooking. I really like your setup and some of your camping ideas are really calling to me.

A lot of dudes on here set their truck up for mall crawling. I've had comments that my truck looks like it "skipped leg day" with my 4" lift and 35" tires. It's called "room for articulation" and doesn't look anything like it skipped leg day. My truck is used off road DAILY as I live on a ranch. Off-road capability is EVERYTHING to me. Some just don't use their truck like a truck is meant to be used...

Thank you man! And what makes it even better is the overland set up in the bed: full kitchen (sans a sink, of course), fridge and base camp stove (15k btu burners x 2) all on sliders. Hot water shower, solar charging for the fridge. Dutch oven, cutting board, spice drawer, table and chairs, the works! And..... we USE it!
Here we are fixing dinner at 9300ft in Colorado last September:
