I guess I shouldn't feel so bad... I backed into my house hiting the right rear bit of my bumper... Looks like the bumper got pushed fwd enough to rum/scratch the paint on the lower rear panel and then popped back as if it was on shocks...????
Weird...
Now the bumper's a little out of alighnment.. No big deal, but man... On a brand new truck the first ding hurts the most!

No.. Not wasted.
Just a three hour drive home from skiing with two cranky kids in the cab
'Couldn't wait to get outta the truck and into the house... Away from my darling children

I stopped in at a local body shop to see about repairing the scratches and fixing the bumper... I figure the guy either had no idea what he was talking about or he was lying... No I hadn't looked that closely at how the bumper(s) are assembled and assumed like on my "old" F150 it was a one piece hunk of steel....

This guy tells me they gotta try to bend it straight while it's on the truck using some hydraulic gizmo... That and touching up the paint... $560

So today I crawl under there rear end and have a look....
Well... I don't need to tell you guys, the chrome bits of the friggin' bumber are really just a facade... Long story short, I fixed the bumber in about 5 min. The paint scratches... F*** 'em I'll touch 'em up myself come warmer weather.

Slid into a tree branch on muddy trail. Wasn't too happy about the situation, but what can you do?

Senior citizen coming out of a shopping mall parking lot....

Just got off the phone with the ins. guy.

$12000 damage plus whatever my rental will cost.

New box side, new rear door, front door skin, tire, step bar bla bla bla...

I bought the truck, a 2010 new back in Oct... 'Only been on the road 4 months!
They say that the forst "ding" on a new car hurts the most... No kidding!!!
