Default RE-GEARING after lifting ???

planning to lift a 2014 fx4 about 8 inches, and will be running 37" tires. Should i re-gear the truck? if so, to what specifications? Thanks

I added a 4" lift with 35" tires and felt a significant lose in power. I just recently installed 4.56s and the truck feels a million times better. I would highly recommend them especially if you do any offroading. Hope this helps.

BTW I have a 2009 FX4 with the 5.4

4.56 or 4.88s for 37s.

33.5's with 3.55's and i'm re-gearing from the power loss. some people say they run 35's with no re-gear and have no complaints but i imagine that's pretty subjective. I highly doubt it will be subjective with 37's. I wouldn't even put the tires on without re-gearing

4.56 if your going to stay with 37s and 4.88 if you think you will go bigger down the road. Take your time and think about what you will do with the truck as well.
