Default Manistee National Forest brief trip report

A buddy and I hit up the Manistee NF as well as Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness area to check some stuff out. Quite a bit of wheeling on the trails there. Nothing too challenging except trying to fit my truck through some tight spots. He had an FJ cruiser so was a lot more nimble. I love this truck more and more though. Did a bit of hiking as well.

Lots of this soft sand

Getting flexy

Night wheeling

Trail ended in an impassable creek.

Camp night 1

Ludington, MI lighthouse

Trying to squeeze a fullsize through tight trails can be tough.

Good stuff! I do some wheeling in Mio every once in a while and will be there in a few weeks along with copper harbor. I also used to do a lot of riding at Ogemaw.

So about "impassable" creek...I would be giving your buddy **** for that snorkel haha.
