Hey gents, need your help/thoughts as I trouble shoot an issue I am having with my lifted truck.


2012, FX2, 8" Full Throttle Lift, Full Throttle Coilovers, Total Chaos UCAs, 37" KM2s on 17s.


Truck has 42k miles, 12k of which I have had this lift, the noises recently started.


I am getting a loud popping noise when turning hard forward/reverse, almost as though something is binding.scrapping and I can't figure out what. Also there is a small rattle at low speeds, all noises are coming from the passenger side front.


Uppers have 1" uniballs and are relatively new.
Hubs are stock
Lower Ball Joints are stock
Steering is stock save for outer tie-rod end links (new ones came with FTS kit).
FTS Coilovers have a heim joint both top and bottom.


Lifted it this evening to troubleshoot and I couldn't find anything loose. Tires/wheels are solid so I know it's not the hubs, a common issues with 2wd trucks.


Thoughts?

check you front cv axles ives had those break and make the same pop you are describing

It's an FX2, it doesn't have CV axles.

Yes as mentioned no CV'S, it's a 2wd truck.


Any other thoughts?

Would go to say it's lower ball joints, only stock part still there that I could think of it going bad. Especially if you take it off road.
