Thanks! That is some of my favorite country, but I've not travelled that route.

I like how when the vid is sped up the 5.0 sounds wound up and it looks like you're driving 90 MPH on a WRC stage.

Was 4 X 4 ever necessary? in those August conditions?

Depends on where you are on the trail. Some areas are just dirt roads and passible with 2wd although there are some pretty rocky, steep areas and a few water crossings, if you're out there in April/May.

Most of the steeps showed about 13* on the truck's inclineometer with one short piece showing 18*

Here's some more info:

Reminds me of a good friend that had a 1981 F250 Reg Cab with a 460 geared with dual transfer cases sitting on 44" super swampers, winter time was when the dual transfer case setup worked well...would crawl so slow up snow covered trails.

How do you like your softopper? I have one for my old sierra 1500 was going to see how it fits on my 17 f150. Your truck looks good with it.

careful man, I think those trails are owned by the tele and power companies and some wouldn’t take kindly to that...Otherwise I’d be off roading every day behind my house lmao
