Some mountain roads are starting to open up again. Got up to about 8500' before running out of clear road; I could have gone a little further, maybe, but I would have ended up backing down the half-drifted road pictured below (been up it this time of year before, and the avalanche path around the next corner is almost certainly still several feet deep on the road).
and Friday, this will be open:
(not off-road, but still exciting...very few places in the U.S. have paved roads over 10k feet)

Just moved to CO myself. Can't beat the mountain views.
7AM almost 100 degrees. Great time to take the pups to the beach before heading off to work.... No time to play in the sand though... will take care of that over the weekend.
