Well I would definitely go with the 6.5 foot bed plus with the tailgate down that would add some length so unless you have a huge kayak you should be fine.

I've a plywood skiff that I put in the box with the bow resting on the cab. I don't have rubbing issues; the frame is very stiff.

Got up to a higher elevation lake today, still frozen, so I tried to use the boat ramp to clear myself a casting path. The icepack seems a bit heavy to try that.

That was the plan.

I know the lake well enough that it wasn't as risky as some would think, the ice was just too thick for my truck to plow out of the way.

Those DC2s look great on a red truck. Before I went wit my Cragar Soft 8s those were the other rims I was looking at. Nice truck man
