Johnson Valley OHV Still Needs Help
So about a week ago I found out about the possible expansion of 29 Palms Marine base into what is now Johnson Valley OHV park. This is the location of the desert race "King of the Hammers". The expansion has the potential of closing over 250 square miles of Off Highway Vehicle use. I don't live in So. California, and I don't know if I'll ever make it to JV, but we need to try to keep as much public use land open to OHV use as possible. There are fewer and fewer places we can go off-roading legally, and it would be a huge blow to enthusiasts to loose Johnson Valley.
You may not care about desert racing or off-roading, but this is your chance to stop the closure of more public lands that have been designated as OHV use.
There is a petition to sign if you wish to preserve your rights, and keep Johnson Valley open to public use (see link below). As of this post, they have the required signatures, but the more people that sign the better.

It only takes a couple minutes to sign the petition.

Obviously not enough people are aware of how unbelievably crazy KOH is, iv always wanted to go and always dreamed of competing. Would be such a shame if the coarse was lost (definitely have my sig!)
