Default Power

Update,
wife now wants a fridge. I don’t think I need one, but the wife wants one sooooo... my hands are tied. I have a concern with power supply. I really don’t want to drain my battery running fridge. Does anyone have suggestions?

Should look at solar charging with second set of batteries and a solar inverter. Plenty of Youtube videos on the subject. Recently Youtube show '4xoverland' by Andrew St. Pierre White did a story on solar setups.

Lots of threads about this on Expedition Portal. Your best bet is one of the high effiency 12VDC camping refrigerators. They're real refrigerators and not the **** poor peltier cooled coolers. They really cool and they use a lot less power. Expensive but the reviews are very good.

I think what's he asking is does he want a seperate, stand-alone 12v mini-system for his Engel, ARB or Dometic... and, yes; all you need to know is on Expedition Portal, in their 12V sub.

If YOUR WIFE WANTS a 12V fridge, consider yourself very lucky. These fridges are awesome. I've had an Engel for 10 years and run it off of a 100-amp-hour Odyssey battery and charge that when out in the boonies with solar. When home, I keep it plugged in to 110V "shore" (house) power and running just because. The fridge's power supply is an automatic dual voltage. Unplug from 12 and it switches to 120 (110) by itself. And it uses hardly any real amperage. My fridge and battery/solar is in an old camp trailer project I started years ago and that will never be really finished.

Like was said before, go check out Expo portal. A lot of great info and can probably pick up a really nice fridge used for cheap. There is one on there now for $300

We never finish projects... We just find something else we want to add to it as soon as we think we're done.

Good thread, and great replies by others.

I recently got a 2014 F-150 and have similar ideas (level/tires and explore).
Having trouble pin pointing levels for 2014, I guess they changed some things up between ‘13 and ‘15. Was looking at fox 2.0 , but also Bilstein 6112. Haven’t been able to discern which, if any 6112 fit for 2014.

shot some emails to Bilstein and @Stage3Motorsports , so hopefully I’ll have that figured out soon.

look forward to getting more motivation from yours!
