driving through water in an ecoboost?

I'm not an expert, but as far as I can tell:
o The intercooler should be completely sealed and water should not affect it.
o The manual says that if water gets up to the axles you have to change the lubricant in the differential.
o The air intake is in the left front wheel well, so you probably don't want water splashing or spraying into it.
o I think I recall the manual saying that water up to where the tires meet the rims is OK.

The intercooler is under pressure so it's a non issue. A vacuum condition is where you'd have to worry about water - like the intake side of the turbo (the side the air filter is on).
