Have found a shop that will install both for me so hopefully have everything done by end of Feb. After a bit of measuring the compressor should be a fairly easy swap although the ARB has different wiring, still shouldnt be too bad. Last thing to replace is the tank, Dealer here didnt have one in stock so am still trying to source. Not buying from the states as I have to pay shipping by weight, the cost of shipping a tank actually works out to be almost twice the price of the tank itself.

Post pics when done.

Especially in the deep outback sand somewhere.

With that much use, I'm sure you'll be much happier with the higher output compressor. Interested to hear some some feedback on the updown system

I hope in the interest of others who may also be curious would understand resurrecting this thread.

ZIPPERWOOD: How has the new UpDownAir system been working out for you so far? Did you go with a universal kit or use the second generation Raptor kit and modify for your FX4 (if so, can you provide details of the mods needed). Finally, do you have photos of the install?

I'm looking into the UpDownAir Gen 2 system coupled with the dual-compressor ARB so any guidance in component selection and install would be greatly appreciated!

Had issues with shipping and it never arrived!!! actually just received a different 4-tire system this morning and will give it a go when i get back from work. Purchased the in-deflate system. works on same principle as the updown air but no installation required and I can take it with me for other vehicles as well.

Powertank 15lb. Do about 24 37s on a tank. Down to 12 up to 30. Pricey but worth it.

For me personally, I already carry too much bulky stuff and didn't want a big air tank to deal with and strap down. I also prefer something permament with quick hookups to all 4 wheels at once, so I splurged on an ARB Dually to be mounted on a custom-built bracket I designed, coupled with ARB's Linx for air compressor control, with air being distributed by UpDownAir's ADS system.

I haven't yet installed it as I'm working on a massive electrical project (combining the air compressor, chase lighting, ham radio, running board lighting, and future electrical devices) to be controlled by the ARB Lynx system, but here is a mockup of the air compressor's location when I was designing the bracket:

The UpDownAir ADS controller is mounted an another custom-designed bracket, to be installed just behind the front upper valance, to the right of the radiator:

The final system will be fully controllable via Lynx's wireless touchscreen (ala Android-based handset) with automatic inflation and deflation to any desired pressure. The ADS provides overinflation prevention with it's automatic pressure relief valve, as well as backup inflate and deflate ports plus a quick-coupler for an air hose to feed air tools.

If just inflating/deflating the tires, no need to open the hood: just hookup the tire air whips to all four wheels and it's ready for the Lynx to take over...

Couple of pics of the INDEFLATE system. Time savings is pretty significant. It used to take about 25 minutes to air down all four tires (35x12.5x17) from 45 to 15, and took about 40 minutes to air all back up. Now it takes 8 minutes to airdown from the time i stop the truck til i am rolling again. Air up takes 14 minutes total again from stop to rolling again. and it saves some wear on my back as well..

Anyway to purchase this bracket or the files used to make it? I'm looking for a similar setup!

The compressor bracket cost me $700 for a one off, which was laser cut and bent to exact specifications. I'm sure there would be discounts for higher quantities which I haven't broached with the original fabrication shop. I have two potential buyers on the Raptor forums, but I'm sure I would need more to bring down the price to a much more reasonable level.

I may consider licensing this to establish Ford/Raptor aftermarket manufacturer, such as SDHQ Offroad, RPG, SVC, and the like...
