Battery Camping Question

Not on a Ford AFAIK. On the 1995 Rams, the body sheetmetal was the same on the 1500, 2500 and 3500. You could mount the second battery on the RH side of the engine compartment where the diesels had it.
Anyway on just about all pickup trucks, there is room behind the rear tires under the fender to mount a battery.

Check out the arkpak, ideally you can just put a deep cycle in it and charge it at home. There are ways to charge it from solar or from the truck. Solar isn't going to be all that reliable, unless you can leave the panels stationary for the day, preferably moving them periodically to face the sun.

Skip the goal-zero nonsense.
A second battery should be doable, but make sure you have the proper solenoid setup and manual switches to isolate the 2nd battery. National Luna makes some top-notch battery management products to get you setup.

These guys have electronic isolators. May be easier to wire. Summit Racing and others have battery boxes. I envision mounting a battery box under the fender in front of or behind the rear wheel and wiring a panel at the rear of the truck. I have a cap so it would be inside that.

Get a decent solar charging system or solar generator. Not only can you charge your battery, but you can have power for other needs. Many systems let you add on panels so the more you have, the more power you make.
