You can run 10" wide rims.... i would go with as little backspacing as possible unless you want the rims to stick out. If you are going to run rims that wide i would run 33" tall tires instead of 35" tires... just to keep doqn on the rubbing.

IF you notice any rubbing at all with a 35" tire it will only happen at full lock.... slight trimming might need to be done but thats it.

thanks a lot for your well appriciated help, that was the answer ive been looking for. I kind of want them to stick out a little. i believe the backspacing was 4 or 4.5.

With that backspacing you should stick out just a tad but not much at all

i cant find any other tires that will fit that rim... do you know any good sites to get rims and tires. the site im on now is www.4wheelparts.com. ive looked everywhere. Im going to stick with polished rims because of how chrome holds up and how easily they can be ruined. they are 17x9 rims with 5.5 inch backspace... i cant seem to find any other tires that will fit that rim. Im not sure what the metric size that is close to 33 inches... that might help

You might try discount tires, or truckaddons they carry some tires... ill look around later.

Are you having problems finding a tire to fit the 17" rim or the other way around???
