Default Wheel Question

Hey everybody, I was wondering if yall could help me out. I'm looking at an MB Motoring Biltz wheel with a 25 mm outset. The rim is 17.8, and my stock is 17x7.5. I'm not sure of my present offset with the stock rim. Can anyone help with 2 things:

1) How much difference (other than the 1/2 inch gain) will the wheel make?
2) And when purchashing tires, will the balloon of the tire with the rim rub the upper ball joints?

Through talking with some of yall, I've def decided on a set of BFG 305/65R17. As far as I can tell, on a 9 inch rim, the balloon will be 12.2 at the max. Should I be worried about this combo with jus a 2 1/2-ich leveling kit, or rubbing my front bottom valance?

1. Not much, but you can run 13" wide tires now.
2. I don't understand you ?.

What height is that tire? And how wide?

You stock backspacing is 5.5"s

If you can find out backspacing that is always easier to work with then offset. Tide is correct about stock backspacing being 5.5.

1. I don't think it's going to make that big of a difference because you're really not going much bigger and I thik 25mm offset is pretty close to what stock is.

2. I think with adding the leveling kit you're going to be alright.

When I caled the bfg rep again, he said the balloon of the tire might rub. What he meant by is when the tire is fully inflated, the tire will balloon out around the tire. Where the sidewall would flare out, he called it balloonning. With the wheel and tire combo I have now, its close, but doesnt touch. I'm running a stock rim on a 33x12.5 procomp a/t. The spec on the bfg is on a 9-inch rim, its 12.2 wide, and 32.7 tall. I main worry is will the sidewall rub the upper-ball joints.

You should be fine.

The general rule of thumb is with an aftermarket rim you can runa 33" tire w/ a leveling kit.
