Default Offset

Hi my name is Max with Real Truck. So offset and backspacing are one of those subjects that are extremely important when choosing the correct wheel for your truck. A lot of the time when someone lifts they're truck they will go with a lower number (or negative number) for the offset in order to give the truck a wider stance to help with the higher center of gravity. However, the lower the number the more likely you are to rub at full turn if running a larger tire as well. Stock offset on F150s range depending on the year and vehicles drive..
97-03 0 to 15 offset
99-04 0 to 15 offset
04-08 30 to 40 offset
09-10 30 to 40 offset
11-14 30 to 40 offset
15-17 30 to 40 offset
Lift kit and leveling kit manufacturers not only recommend a size tire to run but they also recommend a wheel size and offset most of the time, so that can be a beneficial guide to use.
Here is a little video that helps explain it visually.
Please let us know if you have anymore questions, we'd love to help you find the right wheel for your application.
Thanks,
