Default Wheel Material - whats the difference?

So everyone has their own opinion of what looks good. But before I choose what design I like, I want to figure out what materials/designs fit my applicaton. For example, I assume steel is heavier than most...which is why it is cheapest. but not sure after that.

- what material wont require constant polishing or it will pit/rust?
- what material is best for a daily driver that gets dirty often?
- what material is more economical in cost (cheap )

I have been looking and see alot of GOod looking rims for around $150, I just cant see what is so different from these and the $250 rims that is so great that someone will drop $400+ more...for a design? a name? Is there something wrong with a $150 wheel from V-tec, MotoMetal, etc...

With the ultra dirty brakes on these trucks there is No wheel that you will not have to clean all the time to keep them looking good.

The difference from a $150 wheel and a $250 and up wheel is quality.

Cheap wheels only last 1-3 years and look like total ***. The coating and aluminums they use are cheap as hell. They are also cast witch is heavier and not as strong.

More expensive wheels are often forged and the cast ones are made from a higher grade aluminum. Also the coatings or paints are higher quality too. It is well worth it to spend as much money as you can if you are in the market for wheels.

Most of us are on a budget so we buy ****ty *** American Racing wheels, or other cheap *** brands.
