I have a 2015 F-150 FX4. The only mods I have done is a leveling kit and purchased 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2's with with Monster XD 20s. For the first couple of months I have had no problems, but recently for some odd reason, my lug cover on my front right wheel has been disappearing every couple of weeks. I have already bought 3 replacement covers and I can't for the life of me figure out whats on.

I'll get out my truck and usually the cover and screws are missing.

However, The last cover I put locktite on the threads of the allen screws. This time the whole cap broke off but the threads and screws.

Does anyone have any thought on what could be happening????

 

Do you have any vibrations or uneven wear on that tire? Otherwise I'd say you have some neighborhood kids with a penchant for vandalism unfortunately.

 

I can almost 100% rule out vandalism because it happened once when I was out of town.

 

Get a camera on it.

 

call XD and ask them ??
