TreadWright Tires??
Hi,
Okay so I stumbled across these and can't find out much about them. I know obviously that they are recycled tires, but damn they are dirt cheap too! I currently have BFG TA KO in 285/70R17 and am looking at getting something closer to a 35" tire. The ones I saw are 315/70R17 Guard Dog MT. The only reason I'm considering these is because my BFG's have only lasted me 40k miles and they are too expensive to only be getting 2-3 years out of, if that. Does anyone have these or have experience with this brand? Thanks!

I have seen a few guys with these and no problems. Retreads are VERY common in the trucking industry. I would venture to guess 75% of tractor trailers have them atleast on the trailer. And 95+% of dump trucks have them.
They wouldn't sell them if they weren't very safe.

Re-tread's are OK for offroad use or low speed driving but too many problem's on the hot highways down here at highway speed's. If you've ever had one come apart like I did year's ago you'll agree.

Pawpaw, What is considered low speed driving. I know the Jeep guys like the Guard Dog tires a lot, and say they have good on road manners but I'm trying to find a review from someone with a larger vehicle, has anyone actually owned a pair on their F-150, F-250 or F-350??
