Tpms quest
You see these tires and rims? I mounted them in about 5 mins each on my living room floor by hand with a couple of tire spoons. When you buy tpms rebuild kits this is what you get... If I add in the time it took me to install the valve stems then add 1 min per wheel, as far as using a tq wrench, lmao you are a rookie, when you get seasoned you will know just how tight to use that torx driver. This all you need.. . You can talk all that b/s to someone else because I know better.
And I'm not sure how you think I'm a rookie when you don't even know who or where I am, maybe relative to you but I hardly see how that makes me any less knowledgeable or seasoned than yourself. I work at one of the highest volume stores in the country. I feel I'd be making a safe bet to say I see just as many vehicles a day as you if not more and the way things are done haven't changed significantly since TPMS came out so "seasoned" is a pretty relative term.
And you just "know" how tight to get it? Just like you know how tight to hammer the lug nuts on right?
Be honest with me do you charge for rebuild kits? And if so when and how much? Just ball park average.

Yeah so you just had to mount new tires on bare rims and screw together a new sensor? Let's completely ignore that I've been talking about REPLACING tires this whole time and subtract the lifting of the vehicle, unbolting tires, dismounting old tires, disassembling TPMS and installing a new valve.

I base my opinion of you being a rookie by the simple fact I know how long the procedures take and how much they should cost.
I don't charge anyone for new valve stems, I no longer work in the civilian world of auto repair, I use a torque wrench on ALL lug nuts, too easy to warp brake rotors if you don't.
Why the proper way to torque lugs comes into play is more b/s to string along your excuses to rip people off by calling it a rebuild kit and charging more.
If I already had stems/tpms sensors installed it's still as simple as unscrewing a screw and you know it, so add another 1 min, now were up to a whopping 7 mins per wheel with no tire machine for new install, about the same amount of time if you have to break down an old tire, I'll give that another 2 mins per wheel and that's being generous.
Keep selling it, but do it to your self because you can't sell me when I know for a fact the entire procedure for R&R.
I can see charging more but only a dollar or so for the added brass required in the stem to make the connection for the sensor, I can also understand charging more if you have to train the new sensors to the system, but all in all it's a scam calling it something it's not.

I don't like to. I've only had to do it a couple of times when the new Tundras came out and we didn't have kits available for their TPMS system yet. They no longer have the brass collar and look like a regular valve.
But yes we made it work with a lot of lube.

Look man idk why you are trying to be so argumentative with me. You are knowledgeable and give good info here on the forums. I don't like broccoli, you can't argue me into liking it. You think the valves and replacement o-rings shouldn't be called rebuild kits and are a rip off. Great! I won't try to convince you differently, and I don't like them anymore than you, but it IS something that has to be done.
The rebuild kit you posted isn't the one I was referring to nor would it even work with the vehicle.
It has a square insertion peg, no brass collar, and uses a regular valve cap.

But you are trying to be argumentative when you quote something I say and then try to make me somehow look like the "rookie" you have labeled me, when in fact your information was wrong.
Looking at my previous post however I said new Tundras when I should have said new Dodge for that VS-65 valve stem. My mistake there.

That's fine.
