PROCOMP AT TIRES THAT I HAVE ON MY TRUCK AT THIS TIME HAVE TWO LARGE BULGES IN THE SIDE WHICH LOOK LIKE THE CORDS ARE COMING APART. I TOOK THE TIRES TO 4WHEEL PARTS AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY LOOKED FINE BUT WOULD REPLACED THEM BUT I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENTS. THEN I TOOK THE TIRES TO TWO OTHER SHOPS AND BOTH INFORMED ME THAT THE TIRES HAD SEPARATED CORDS AND WERE A DANGER. NOW I DO NOT EVEN HAVE 10000 MILES ON THESE TIRES AND THEY ARE COMING APART AND THE DEALER OWNER OF THESE TIRES WILL NOT DO A THING TO ASSIST ME BEFORE THEY BLOW. THIS TO ME IS POOR WORKMANSHIP AND SALES ALONG WITH NO REGARDS TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY. i got an email a while back about tires being sold that are brand new, but were manufactured 4 or more years ago and about the tread coming off of them. evidently there is a possibility of them going bad even if they have just been sitting on a shelf like in discount tire or something...

mine were made in '07 but my roomates michelins have a manufacture date of '01 and she bought hers last july at discount tire

actually when my F-150 had hummer tires on them they were sorta looking like that but thats because i worked on south beach and we could only park in a small garage where i barely fit so going up the ramp to the next floor caused me to run over the curve a few times

Good thing this has not happened to me yet. And I don't really want to go through the experience. Scary when you are running on the freeway and your tire just explodes like that.

Here's my two cents (that makes 0.52 ruble today 
) there are a few rules that help me to avoid tire related accidents. First one - keep the wheels balanced, i usually check the balance every 6 monthes. Second rule - never drive faster than a tire speed index allows. Third rule - never overheat tires, that can cause rubber structure changes. And the last one - i always mantain proper tire pressure according to vehicle/tire manufacturer manual.

I Voted For Bill and Opus
Class action lawsuit some lawyer is going to get a new Yachee (yacht) with the money he fleeches out of several tire companies, and the consumers he is suing on behave of will each get a coupon for $20 off his next set of tires.
