Default Switch From Standard to LT Tires

I have a 2020 XLT super crew with the chrome package wheels and 275/65 18 standard load tires. Can I simply install LT275/65 18 tires on my existing wheels? Would it present any concerns?

No concerns only it will be a heavier tire which will reduce your gas mileage, plus it will ride a little rougher.

I just replaced the worn out Goodyear P series OEM tires with BF Goodrich TA KO2s. Great tire and I think the truck rides and handles better with them. Personally I think trucks should come with LT tires on principle.

I put Michelin LTX MS LT in that size on my 14 cclb to improve trailer towing. Huge improvement. I did put the LTX P rated on first, hooked my trailer and took a spin. The squish was noticeable, so I went back to Sullivan tire and was able to swap over to the LT variety. Aired up to 60# gives consistent flat contact pattern.

mileage drop was not noticeable due to rte 93 commute hell (pre-COVID). Ride is definitely stiffer, but now it feels like a truck.
