Default RTR wheels, offset question

I understand offset and what it does to the wheels... but can someone share some info on the difference between the 0 offset and 18 offset on the 17x9 RTR wheels? I'd like to install a set of Raptor type flares off AT website and would like the tire to be flush to the flares... 0 offset or 18... what works best?

Go with the 0 off set. On a 9” wide wheel, that’ll make the wheels and tires sit pretty much flush with the flares you’re looking for.

Here is is what a +18 looks like on stock fenders.

I have since added a full RTR appearance package, and 2” wheel spacers to set my wheels and tires slightly outside the flares

4inch lift, 295 Ridge Grapplers on RTR 17s, and a Leer Sport Camper for the "Bronco" look on my RCSB will be coming in the next few months.
