I want to convert 87 F150 to rack and pinion steering. I have that steering system was on 2004 F150's. True or false?

 

true and false. the width of the truck is different, the angle will be different, can you weld?
would be easier and cheaper to buy a rack and pinion truck. or buy a 2004 and swap your 302 in it to keep it a '87 model
