Default Question about wheels

I am currently looking to change out my stock 22" wheels on my 2013 Limited becasue I want to go with an off road tire. Currently you cant find off road tires to fit a 22" rim. I'm looking to downsize to 18" wheels. I have found a pair of Moto Metal wheels I really like. They come in either a 18X9 with a 18mm offset or a 18X10 with a -24mm offset. What does this mean and which one would work best on my truck. I'm looking at putting on BFGoodrich AT's in a 285/65/18 (or something close that that size).

The stock f150 rims is a 40 or +40 offset. The offset just means if the rims sit under the truck or stick out wider to the truck. I would definitely suggest going with the 18x9 with 18 offset because that's closer to stock offset. Unless you like the super wide stance look. Pic below has a high negative or (-) offset

Unless you have a decent sized lift kit go with the 18x9 this will give you a better variety of tire sizes to choose from without lifting. I wouldn't go with the 18x10 unless you planned on doing at least a 4" lift kit.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for all the replies. That told me exactly what I needed to know. I do like those Nitros! But $450 a tire....OUCH! But I guess its still cheaper than having to buy a set of new wheels!
