Question about purchasing tires
I tried searching for this particular question but I wasn't really getting what I was trying to find, so I apologize in advance if this is a ridiculous question. Basically, I've always gotten tires from Sam's on my father's Sam's Club account, but my trucks were old and completely stock so I Just got the cheapest option. However, now that I am in the market for something a little better I am quickly realizing how expensive Sam's is. They do offer free maintenance and replacements for certain things if you buy from them, so I guess they factor that into the price, and Sam's are all over so if you are ever traveling and something goes wrong you can likely find one nearby. My question was if anyone knew of any chain tire stores that offered similar services (and also so I can compare pricing)? I have googled a lot of different places but I am pretty clueless as to who is reputable and has numerous locations in the South They seem to be much cheaper from websites and my brother in law can get tires pretty cheap through his employment with no tax but I feel like in the long run that may be a bad idea if you have to pay for every rotation/ any other issues. Where do most of y'all buy your tires?
Summary (sorry for the Word Wall): Where do you prefer to purchase your tires? Do you typically pay more for free rotations and maintenance or just wing it on the cheaper price?

I usually purchase mine from Amazon have them shipped to my door then take them to walmart to mount and balance. With that I have lifetime balance and rotation for free after I purchase it the first time. (same as sams). I do not get any road hazard or anything so its a risk I take getting a cheaper tire then a brick and mortar store.
If you take any tire you choose to go to walmart or sams you can purchase the life time roation/balance for the tire..

Cheap tires doesn't equal the best values. I've had over 100 new cars, and have had virtually every brand tire that's cheap and expensive.
Local tire stores are paid kickbacks based on volume from the wholesaler they buy tires on. And that means most local tire operations will push one cheaper brand and one more expensive brand tire. Their profits essentially come from the manufacturers' volume checks.
I research tires on TireRack.com and I go online to find the cheapest delivered price on those tires. Most times, I get them overnight.
I have a huge used tire operation locally that's glad to mount and balance my tires @ $50 a set. And I save big vs. the local tire stores or even WalMart or Sam's Club.

America's Tire/Discount tire is nationwide.
I used Discount Tire in Michigan once or twice when I was younger then all my purchased tires have come from America's tire now that I am in CA.
They offer free flat repair, free rotation and balance. You can even go in for a free balance if you're bored and have a bit of a shimmy (between rotations).
Shop around, Sam's may be reasonably priced when compared to other shops once you factor in road hazard warranty, etc.

Great feedback. Thanks guys. I found discount tire but I did not know about Tire Rack, nor had I considered Amazon. Also, thanks for the headsup with purchasing the lifetime balance from Walmart. This helps tremendously thank you.

Yeh, I am seeing they have Nitto's, which Sam's does not (at least on their website). Thank you all for the assistance. Now I just have to figure out 33, 34, or 35" which is easier said than done.
Rather than making another new thread and clogging up the board with more questions, Im going to just bump and ask if anyone has ever had or knows anything about Americus tires. I have a buddy with a set of the "rugged a/t" and they look decent enough (basically like a knock off Ko2 sort of) but I can't find much info about them online. They also have a "rugged m/t" series I believe as well.
