Nitto Ridge Grappler 35's
#303
I don’t want to tell you yes for sure because on my 14 I had 275/65/20. On my 17 and 19 I’ve had 35x11.50 and 295/60/20 with no rubbing. I’ve had both the 2.5” leveling puck and Boss F-150 coilovers.

What I really want is 295/65's because they're taller, wider, and cheaper for some reason. I've seen some of the older posts with people who have 295/60's on stock wheels with no problems. So theoretically 295/65's should fit because they're the same width, and just a little taller. I wouldn't mind trimming some plastic or inner fender well, but I don't want to rub on the UCA or any suspension part. What are crash bars everyone mentions??

I wouldn't mind 35x11.5's but like I said they're more expensive than the 295/65's which are a bigger tire. I want to go as big as possible so bigger tires for cheaper are why I'm leaning towards the 295/65's. My truck is a 2011 so I guess I don't have crash bars, thanks for the info. I'm also looking at the Toyo Open Country AT III over the Nitto Ridge Grappler. They're both made by Toyo, and although I like the way the RG's look the AT III's are a better all terrain and have a 55,000 mile warranty. What's the best tire you've run?

Interesting that the Ridge Grapplers hold up better and have no warranty. According to my research the 35x11.5 RG's are heavier than the 295/65's which makes no sense. 35's are 71.4 lbs and 295's are 69.4 lbs. Not much of a difference but still strange. How's the ride quality and performance of the RG's vs the AT III's? Have you noticed any difference in MPG's? I think I'm sold on the 35x11.5 Ridge Grapplers but I'd like to hear your opinion on how they compare.

It’s kind of hard to say because going from a RG with over 70k to a brand new ATIII is kind of a hard comparison but I would give a very slight edge to the Toyo’s. Hard to compare MPG’s because I went from a 3.5EB to a 5.0 back to a 3.5EB. The 5.0 (3.73 rear end) had a total life average of 13.2 from new till 75k when I traded it in. That’s with boss coilovers maxed out on 35x11.50’s with a lot of city driving and some towing mixed in. My current 3.5EB (3.55 rear end) with 295/60’s has a life average MPG of 14.6 with similar driving but a little more highway mixed in. To answer your question about weight, The only thing I can think would make the 35x11.50 heavier than both the 295/65 and 285/65 is the deeper tread depth. Not sure if that makes sense or is 100% accurate but the 35x11.50 has more tread than the other 2. Can’t speak about the pricing other than they have skyrocketed in price over the last 2 yrs or so.

My buddy has a 19 with the Bilstein leveling shocks and 285/65 BFG KO’s and I like his set up a lot. His seems to ride a little better than mine but I’m not sure it it’s the tires or the Bilsteins vs pucks. He hasn’t had his tires long enough to see how they’re going to hold up yet but I’m anxious to see
